Shanghai Benqu Network Technology Co., Ltd. (registered address: Room 1003, Building 1, No. 100 Qinzhou Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai; hereinafter “we”) is the operator of the Paji Camera App (collectively, “Paji Camera”). Paji Camera provides users with photo shooting and beautification functions and services. We fully understand the importance of personal information to users (also referred to as “you”) and will make every effort to protect the security of your personal information. Accordingly, we have formulated the Paji Camera Basic Function Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) to help you fully understand how we process and protect your personal information and how you may manage your personal information when using Paji Camera.
[Scope of Application]
This Policy applies to all products and services for photo shooting and beautification functions that we provide to you through clients and new forms emerging with technological development. If a product or service we provide has a separate privacy policy or special provisions in a corresponding user service agreement, the privacy policy or user service agreement for that product or service shall prevail; for matters not covered therein, this Policy shall prevail. If products or services of us or our affiliates use the photo shooting and beautification functions provided by us but do not have an independent privacy policy, this Policy shall also apply to such products or services.
Except for relevant information processing activities described in this Policy, this Policy does not apply to services provided to you by other third parties; such other services are governed by their separately stated rules for collection and use of personal information.

According to the Provisions on the Scope of Necessary Personal Information for Common Types of Mobile Internet Applications, Paji Camera falls under the “photo shooting and beautification” category, and its basic function services are “photo shooting, beauty effects, filters, etc.” The basic function services can be used without personal information.
Your agreement to this Policy means that you are aware of and agree to our collection and processing of relevant necessary information when you use our basic functions; it does not mean that you consent to other additional functions collecting or processing unnecessary personal information. We will separately obtain your consent for processing personal information by other additional functions.

In accordance with relevant laws and regulations, we will collect personal information within the necessary scope required for providing the basic functions of our products or services. If you refuse to provide such information, you may be unable to normally use our products/services. In addition, you may voluntarily choose to use additional functions of our products/services and authorize us to collect personal information; if you refuse to provide such information, we may only be unable to provide that additional function, and your use of basic functions will not be affected.
1. In view of users’ diverse needs, we are committed to creating a variety of products/services. Because we provide many types of products/services and different users choose different specific products/services, the basic/additional functions and the types and scope of personal information collected and used may differ. Please refer to the specific product/service function.
2. Like all Internet enterprises, we continue to improve our technology, and we may from time to time launch new or optimized functions that may require collection or use of new personal information or changes in the purposes or methods of personal information use. In such cases, we will separately explain the corresponding purposes, scope and methods of information collection and use by updating this Policy, pop-ups or page prompts, provide you with the opportunity to choose and consent independently, and continue collection and use only after obtaining your express consent.
Photo shooting, provision of beauty effects and filters, and support for downloading, saving locally and sharing are basic functions of Paji Camera and do not require personal information. To implement the photo shooting function, we will access camera permission and will use it only after obtaining your authorization. If you refuse this permission, your use of the shooting function will be affected. To store photos you shoot, we will access storage permission and will use it only after obtaining your authorization. If you refuse this permission, your storage of shot photos will be affected. To determine shooting orientation during shooting and participate in activities or display interactive scenarios, we will access your sensor permission (light sensor, accelerometer, orientation sensor), and will use it only after obtaining your authorization. If you refuse this permission, your enjoyment of that function will be affected.
Special reminder: We will not store facial data involved when you use the shooting preview function, nor will we share such facial data with any third party.
To provide post-editing functions for photos, we will access your photos. To enable you to retrieve the above information from your album for post-beautification processing, we will access your album permission and storage permission and will use them only after obtaining your authorization. If you refuse these permissions, your use of post-editing and storage functions will be affected.
Special reminder: We will not store facial data involved when you use the post-editing function, nor will we share such facial data with any third party.
When you submit feedback, complaints, consultations or appeals to us, in order to contact you conveniently, help you solve issues and promptly provide results, we need to collect feedback information you voluntarily submit. If you refuse to provide the foregoing information, it will not affect your use of other functions and services, but it will affect your use of the feedback function.
To fulfill obligations related to safeguarding network operation security and to protect your account and service security, we need to collect your device name and model, device identification information (ANDROID_ID/OAID), IP address, access date and time, service log information, Paji Camera software version number, and operation logs. If you refuse to provide the foregoing information, it will not affect your use of other functions and services.
During your use of Paji Camera, we may invoke your device permissions. Please see the table below for the permissions invoked by Paji Camera, the purposes for invoking permissions, and the circumstances in which we ask you before invoking permissions. 1. If children’s personal information is involved, you must obtain the consent of the corresponding child’s guardian before posting. In the foregoing circumstances, the guardian may contact us through the method in Article IX of this Policy to request correction or deletion of content involving children’s personal information. For rules on protection of children’s/minors’ personal information, please read “VII. How We Process Minors’ Personal Information”.
2. Some business functions displayed in the Paji Camera interface are provided by other third parties. We will not collect your relevant personal information or provide your relevant personal information to such third parties. Please carefully read the privacy policies provided by them when using such business functions to understand how they process and protect your personal information.
3. If we intend to use your personal information for purposes not specified in this Policy, or use information collected for a specific purpose for other purposes, we will seek your express consent in advance.
4. For functions and scenarios not expressly stated in this Policy, we will display the corresponding personal information collection and use rules to you when you actually use that function or scenario and obtain your express consent.
To ensure normal website operation and help you obtain an easier access experience, we will store small data files called Cookies on your computer or mobile device. Cookies are small files containing strings that are sent to and stored on your computer, mobile device or other device when you log in to and use websites or other online content (usually encrypted). Similar Cookie technologies refer to other technologies that may be used for similar purposes (Web Beacon, Proxy, embedded scripts).
We use Cookies and similar technologies mainly as necessary for your use of our functions and services, to simplify repeated operation steps (such as registration and login), facilitate viewing of usage history, protect your information and account security, and improve our products and services. You may manage Cookies through browser settings, including whether to enable or disable them. However, if you disable Cookies, you may be unable to use certain services. Some web browsers provide a Do Not Track function that can send Do Not Track requests to websites. If your browser enables Do Not Track, we will respect your choice.
(1) We will not share your personal information with any company, organization or individual other than Shanghai Benqu Network Technology Co., Ltd., except in the following circumstances:
1. With your prior express consent or authorization;
2. As required by laws and regulations or mandatory requirements of administrative and judicial authorities;
3. To the extent permitted by laws and regulations, where necessary to protect us, our affiliates or partners, you or other users, or the public interest, property or safety from harm;
4. To handle disputes or controversies between you and others at your request;
5. As provided in relevant agreements signed with you (including electronic agreements signed online and corresponding platform rules) or other legal documents.
(2) To provide related products or services to you, display content that may interest you, and protect your account security, we may share your personal information with our affiliates or partners.
For example, regarding sharing with third parties:
For any refund application you submit, we need to verify your consumption to protect your rights and interests. Therefore, we need to share relevant consumption and refund information with relevant payment platforms (such as Apple) for review of your refund application.
If you do not agree that we share such information with relevant payment platforms (such as Apple), you may contact us through “Article IX How to Contact Us” to withdraw your consent to such information sharing. However, you understand that withdrawal of such consent may prevent us from accurately verifying your refund application, thereby affecting protection of your rights and interests.
Paji Camera integrates rich third-party services, including through software development kits (SDKs). Please note that third-party service providers’ processing of your personal information will be governed by their personal information protection policies. Special reminder: To help with advertising attribution statistics, we may share OAID and user operation records with partners entrusted to conduct information promotion and advertising placement, or with statistical analysis partners. Such information is difficult or impossible to associate with your real identity. Please be aware that, for your information security, we currently cooperate only with partners that have signed strict data security and confidentiality agreements.
Unless otherwise provided in this Policy or expressly required by law, we will not publicly disclose your personal information.
According to relevant laws and national standards, in the following circumstances we may share or publicly disclose personal information without obtaining your prior authorization and consent:
Where necessary to perform statutory duties or obligations;
Directly related to national security or national defense security;
Necessary for public safety, public health or major public interests;
Necessary for criminal investigation, prosecution, trial or enforcement of judgments;
Necessary to protect your or others’ major lawful rights and interests, but it is difficult to obtain your consent;
Personal information disclosed by you to the public on your own;
Necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you;
Personal information collected from lawful public channels, such as lawful news reports and government information disclosure;
Other circumstances provided by laws and regulations.
1. Personal information collected and generated by us in operations within the People’s Republic of China will be stored within China. In the following circumstances, we will provide your personal information to overseas entities after fulfilling obligations prescribed by law:
a. Applicable laws expressly provide so;
b. Your express authorization is obtained;
c. You take personal voluntary actions such as using Paji Camera cross-border.
2. For the above circumstances, we will ensure adequate protection of your personal information in accordance with this Policy and relevant laws.
1. We retain your personal information only for the minimum period required by laws and regulations and the minimum period necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this Policy. We will delete or anonymize personal information beyond the retention period.
2. If we terminate services or operations, we will notify you at least thirty (30) days in advance and delete or anonymize your personal information after termination of services or operations.
We have adopted industry-standard security safeguards to protect personal information you provide and prevent unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage or loss. We will take all reasonable and feasible measures to protect your personal information. For example, data exchange between your browser and server is protected by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption; we use encryption technologies to enhance personal information security; we use trusted protection mechanisms to prevent malicious attacks on personal information; we deploy access control mechanisms to ensure that only authorized personnel may access personal information; and we conduct security and privacy protection training to strengthen employees’ awareness of the importance of personal information protection. At present, our important information systems have obtained cybersecurity classified protection filing and assessment and ISO9000 certification.
After an unfortunate personal information security incident occurs, we will, as required by laws and regulations, promptly inform you of the basic circumstances and possible impact of the incident, measures we have taken or will take, suggestions for you to independently prevent and reduce risks, and remedial measures for you. We will promptly inform you of incident-related circumstances by email, letter, telephone, push notification or other means. Where it is difficult to notify individuals one by one, we will issue an announcement in a reasonable and effective manner. We will also proactively report the handling of personal information security incidents to regulatory authorities as required.
We attach great importance to your concerns about personal information and make every effort to protect your rights to access, transfer, correct, delete and cancel your personal information, to request explanation of this Policy, and to withdraw consent, so that you have sufficient ability to safeguard your privacy and security. If you find that personal information about you processed by us is incorrect, you have the right to request correction. You may contact us through the methods specified in this Policy.
1. In the following circumstances, you may contact us through the methods specified in this Policy to request deletion of personal information:
(1) If our processing of personal information violates laws and regulations;
(2) If we collect or use your personal information without your consent;
(3) If our processing of personal information seriously violates our agreement with you.
2. If we decide to respond to your deletion request, we will also notify entities that obtained your personal information from us and require them to delete it in a timely manner, unless otherwise provided by laws and regulations or those entities have obtained your independent authorization.
3. After you delete information from our services, we may not immediately delete the corresponding information from backup systems, but will delete it when backups are updated.

a. You may use the settings function of your mobile device to turn off certain device permissions and withdraw your authorization and consent for us to collect certain personal information;
b. You may withdraw your consent by deleting certain personal information in Paji Camera;
c. Contact us through the methods specified in this Policy.
2. Please understand that certain permissions may need to be enabled and necessary personal information collected to implement Paji Camera’s business functions. When you withdraw your consent, we will no longer be able to provide the service corresponding to the withdrawn consent, but this will not affect personal information processing previously conducted based on your authorization.
1. You may contact our customer service through the methods specified in this Policy to apply to reset your device ID.
2. After you reset your device ID, we will stop providing products or services to you. All content, information, data and records under our products and services that you previously used through that device ID will be deleted or anonymized.
We attach great importance to protection of minors’ personal information. If you are a minor under the age of 18, please carefully read this Policy under the accompaniment of your guardian and use our products and services after obtaining your guardian’s consent.
For personal information of children under the age of 14 that may be involved, we further take the following safeguards: (1) for collected children’s personal information, in addition to complying with this Policy regarding users’ personal information, we will follow the principles of lawfulness and necessity, informed consent, clear purpose, security protection and lawful use, and strictly store, use and disclose such information in accordance with laws and regulations such as the Provisions on the Cyber Protection of Children’s Personal Information. The storage period will not exceed the time necessary to achieve the purpose of collection and use, and upon expiration children’s personal information will be deleted or anonymized. (2) If you are a guardian of a minor, please ensure that the minor under your guardianship uses our products and services with your authorization and consent. If you have questions about the personal information of the minor under your guardianship, you may contact us through the methods specified in this Policy. (3) Children and their guardians have the right to access and correct their personal information at any time and may also apply to us for correction or deletion. If you have opinions, suggestions, complaints or reports related to children’s personal information, please communicate with us according to the “How to Contact Us” section, and we will provide assistance at any time.
1. If our products or services change, our personal information protection policy will be adjusted accordingly. Without your express consent, we will not reduce the rights you enjoy under this Policy. We will publish any changes to this Policy on this page. For major changes, we will also provide more prominent notices (including, for certain services, email notices explaining the specific changes to the personal information protection policy).
2. Major changes referred to in this Policy include but are not limited to:
a. Major changes to our service model, such as the purposes of processing personal information, types of personal information processed, and methods of using personal information;
b. Major changes in our ownership structure or organizational structure, such as owner changes caused by business adjustment, bankruptcy or merger/acquisition;
c. Changes to the main recipients of personal information sharing, transfer or public disclosure;
d. Your rights regarding personal information processing and the methods for exercising them;
e. Changes to the department responsible for personal information security, contact information or complaint channels;
f. A personal information security impact assessment report indicates high risks.
